Cancellation insurance for motorhome rental

Relapse, worsening of a chronic or pre-existing illness, as well as the aftereffects of an accident that occurred prior to the signing of the contract

• of yourself, your spouse by law or in fact;
• of your ascendants or descendants, in the 2nd degree, and/or those of your spouse by law or in fact;
• of your brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law;
• of the legal guardian.

The insurance applies when the illness or accident formally prevents leaving home, requires medical care, and prevents engaging in any professional or other activity.

Pregnancy complications

Which result in the absolute cessation of all professional or other activities, provided that at the time of departure, the person is not more than 7 months pregnant.

Economic dismissal

• of yourself;
• of your spouse by law or in fact.

Provided that this decision was not known at the time of the vehicle reservation or the signing of this contract.

Summons before a court

In the following cases:

- juror or witness in a criminal trial;

- designation as an expert, whether you are summoned on a date coinciding with the reservation period. 

Summons to a resit exam

 Following an unknown failure at the time of reservation or signing of the contract (higher education only), provided that the said exam takes place during the reservation.

Serious material events

Following:

- a burglary with break-in;

- a fire;

- water damage;

- a climatic, meteorological, or natural event.

Directly affecting the following real estate:

- the insured's primary or secondary residence;

- their agricultural operation;

- their professional premises if the insured is a craftsman, merchant, business manager, or if they practice a liberal profession.

And requiring their presence on site, on a date during the reservation period, to carry out administrative procedures related to the damage or the restoration of the damaged property.

Granting of a new job or paid internship

Provided that the person is registered as a job seeker with Pôle Emploi and that the job or internship is paid and starts before or during the reservation. The modification of the type of employment contract is not guaranteed (e.g., conversion of a fixed-term contract to a permanent contract).

Cancellation or modification of vacation dates due to the employer

Provided that these paid vacations were granted in writing before the trip registration, excluding business leaders, liberal professions, craftsmen, and intermittent performers.
By way of exception, a 25% deductible of the compensation due remains your responsibility.

Professional transfer

Provided that the professional transfer is imposed by your hierarchy and has not been requested by you, excluding business leaders, liberal professions, craftsmen, and intermittent performers.

Cancellation of one of the accompanying persons

(maximum 7 people) registered at the same time as you and insured under this same contract, when the cancellation originates from one of the causes listed above.

Other random event

Another random event, whatever it may be, constituting an immediate, real, and serious obstacle preventing the departure of the insured and/or the exercise of the activities planned during the reservation period.
The random event must have a direct causal link with the impossibility of leaving.
If the insured cannot establish the reality of the situation giving rise to the benefits and if the information provided does not prove the materiality of the facts, the insurer may refuse their request.
By way of exception, a 25% deductible remains your responsibility.

Covid 19

Illness declared by one of the insured (excluded are quarantine or isolation due to COVID-19, travel restrictions imposed by administrative authorities such as lockdown).
