Hello! After regularly renting vans, and seeing the intense happiness these family trips have brought us, we finally decided to take the plunge and buy our own! Since we already had some experience with different models, we were able to be particularly demanding about the choice of model and proposed equipment.
We found THE model that checks all the boxes for us! Here’s what it offers, in no particular order:
- 150hp engine with automatic transmission, very reasonable fuel consumption (we managed to get down to 6.2L/100 on average during a trip to Norway, we challenge you to do better!)
- 5 seating places
- 2 large double beds
- Comfortable lounge thanks to 2 swiveling front seats
- 51L refrigerator
- 2 gas burners
- 2 solar panels and lithium battery
- Gas water heater (yes, yes, the shower is outside but the water is hot!!)
- Long version, so plenty of space. No, it’s not a hassle to park)
We added some little things:
- The folding shower cabin
- The dry toilets with divider, hygienic and odorless, promise
- 4 folding chairs
- Always a new gas bottle in advance
- A bike rack for 3 standard bikes or 2 electric bikes that can be put on or taken off on request...
- A custom layout to gain plenty of storage space. It’s removable if you don’t like it, we won’t put it in.
