His name is Doug, and he's an old fellow. Not so young anymore: he's celebrating his 33rd birthday! But with him, you'll go far and (almost) anywhere. When we met him, it was love at first sight. Sturdy and reliable, that's what we loved right away about him. He's a white VW T4 with a hard pop-top (not the canvas roof that opens in a triangle, the other one that lifts flat) - height 2.10m (you'll need to watch out for height bars). He comes with comfortable equipment for trips with friends or a partner: a fridge (that even makes ice), cooking burners, a sink with an electric pump faucet (cold water only) with a substantial wastewater tank. If the registration indicates 4 seats, be careful: there are no seat belts in the back (ah, the 90s...). Unfortunately, we cannot accept large families, for obvious safety reasons... Once the bench is pulled out and unfolded, you will sleep like a charm on his Bultex cushions (shhh not a brand). We provide a self-inflating mattress from Decathlon (shhh we said!) for even more comfort if you wish. Sleeping upstairs: it's a bed for 2, but since the roof is hard (flat opening), you feel a bit cramped. So, it will be more suitable for small-sized people who don’t mind the lack of height! Its features are rudimentary, ideal for a vintage road trip from the 20th century: no air conditioning, no central locking, everything works with elbow grease, and remember to turn off the headlights if you want to restart the next day! However, you can drive at 130 on the highway if that's really your wish, but admit that it's even more enjoyable to take your time and discover the wonders of our regions via the national road! You've understood, with Doug it's not the 'all electronic comfort' option, but the pleasure of traveling without fuss, simply with the essentials.
