We converted this van in 2020 and since then it has taken us to Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, and all the way to Norway. It regularly goes to the south of France, Italy, and Spain with our tenants. We know what is needed on the road: everything is arranged for you to leave with peace of mind as a couple, without anything to buy or prepare.
The advantages of our van:
- A large bed 140×200 cm with a memory foam mattress, duvet, pillows, and towels provided.
- A 45L cooler and all the necessary kitchen equipment: stove, gas cartridges, utensils.
- A 2000W diesel heater for cool nights.
- An autonomous electrical installation: 280Ah battery recharged while driving (DC-DC), for the cooler, lighting, and charging your devices.
- An optimized layout for face-to-face dining, with large storage spaces and a big trunk at the back as well as a large space under the bed to sleep with one or two dogs.
- Careful insulation with Armaflex and blackout protections for the windows.
L2H1 format: 5.45m long, 1.98m high — it passes under barriers at 2m and drives in class 1 on the highway (same rate as cars).
I have converted another van, more maneuverable because it is 50cm shorter, 220v electricity, and induction hob (but without heating) - also available for rent (on this profile "Simon’s van - Opel Vivaro L1H1").
