When we read everything, we know everything! (2 min)
I fit out the vehicles of the Carabens company; here I present the DUO premium, a concentrate of comfort and equipment in a compact van, just homologated VASP caravan. It is the culmination of 15 years of experience; this is the boss's van: it is top-notch! A real two-seater!
The base vehicle is a Renault Trafic 150hp automatic EAG9 with all options and all nice driving aids (adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, emergency braking, automatic lights) and a super well-finished body....a really pleasant vehicle to drive, barely larger than an SUV....that consumes less than 7.5l per 100.
The layout is that of a long van....in a short chassis! By moving the two front seats forward as much as possible, we manage to create a large L-shaped living space, allowing for two spaces and two accesses. The bed unfolds in a few seconds to provide 138 cms wide at the shoulders and 190 long...not so bad for a vehicle of this size! The kitchen offers of course two burners, a sink, a 50l compression fridge!, a clever trash can, and numerous practical storage spaces, and as for belongings, they will find room in the two large lockers and in the large wardrobe that goes up to the exterior sheet metal to gain even more space... The hot shower is taken at the back thanks to the tailgate tent, or even inside thanks to the cabin with integrated shower tray, and the dry toilets with material separation (clean, ecological, and simple) are available day and night.
And to ensure that all this works best, the vehicle has a 150ah lithium battery (equivalent to 3 classic batteries), 280w of solar panels, a 700w pure sine wave inverter (okay for electric bikes), a 220v charger, diesel heating, a triple-source water heater (electric 12v, 220v, and diesel), 80 liters of clean water non-freezing, 40 liters of wastewater.... in terms of autonomy, we leave calm!
And finally, if you love cycling, the pivoting arm (max 80kg) will allow you to keep access to the vehicle without removing the bikes... A minimum of one week for a little vacation, two weeks minimum in the summer. Do not hesitate to visit the Carabens website to learn more about my vans and to chat with me!
