Back to the future with this magnificent 1976 Westfalia Combi! Holidays in a Combi are unique; this vehicle radiates such charm that you will never go unnoticed! And if you have young children, they will remember it for a long time. A Combi is a way of life, a mode of transport like no other. It comes straight from the USA although it was manufactured in Europe. You might ask why look for something from the US that can be found in Europe? Because the US versions of the Combi T2 are equipped with a 2.0l Injection engine guaranteeing reliable start-up and reasonable fuel consumption. But above all, it provides 40% more power compared to the 1.6l carburetor versions equipping the European versions. Not insignificant if you take mountain roads. We can set off with 5, let's say rather 4.5, because the 5th sleeping space is a hammock that installs above the front seats. The child sleeping in that place will have 1.3 m available to be comfortably settled. The most spacious bed is located upstairs once the roof is raised. Adults will find their place without any problem; the mattress is 2 m long. Generally, we leave the younger ones downstairs because with the storage unit, it gets a bit tighter than upstairs. But it works well too, I am 1.87 m tall and I have already slept there. The Berlin finish Westfalia Combi is equipped with everything necessary for cooking. It is fitted with 2 gas burners supplied by a 10l tank located under the chassis. You will have a year's worth of autonomy for cooking! It has a 20l water tank connected to a pump that activates as soon as the tap is opened. We use this water for dishwashing, pasta water, and personal hygiene. For beverages, we provide a 20l jerry can. It has just undergone a major mechanical upgrade with an injection adjustment that makes this vehicle even more unique. The tires are new to set off with a good base. In short, it is just waiting for you! But never forget that you will be driving a vehicle that is 50 years old: no central locking, no air conditioning, no airbags, no abs, no cruise control, no power steering, no electric windows, just a radio! What it does not like: highways, even though it can "hold" 120 km/h on the flat, is a speed that makes it uncomfortable because the soundproofing is also 50 years old!
